It is remarkable to see how this garden in Blakehurst has flourished in just one year since its design and installation. What was once a newly planted landscape has now matured into a thriving, vibrant green space.
From the outset, the clients had a clear vision: a garden predominantly featuring Australian natives, complemented by striking exotic plants. They sought a design that felt both modern and relaxed, balancing contemporary aesthetics with a natural, effortless charm.
Lone Pine Landscapes' design intent was to enhance the property’s visual appeal, promote sustainability, support local biodiversity, and ensure long-term resilience with minimal maintenance for the clients.
Developed in collaboration with Smyth & Smyth Architects, the property seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor spaces. Two rooftop gardens, a serene courtyard entry, and an open floor plan create a natural connection to the expansive rear garden and pool, fostering a continuous flow between architecture and landscape.
Plants with bold, sculptural forms were selected to enhance Smyth & Smyth’s striking architecture.
